Is there any add-on or Firefox feature for versin 5 that will block the Facebook "like" button tracking feature (such as used to be done by the Add-on "No FB Tracking" at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/no-fb-tracking/#reviews )?
I *loved* being able to block the surreptitious tracking that Facebook does through their annoying "Like" button that is now *everywhere* on the web. There was an add-on for Firefox version(s) 3 called "No FB Tracking" that blocked it. Having updated to version 5, I find that the add-on is not compatible with the newest version. Is there any new add-on like it for version 5, or is there a feature in Firefox itself that does this?

How do I stop websites from tracking me?
Thanks, mha007, for your good intentioned reply. If you read that mozilla tip closely, you'll see that while...
"When you turn on the Do-not-track feature, Firefox tells every website you visit (as well as their advertisers and other content providers) that you don't want your browsing behavior tracked."
...they go on to note that...
"Honoring this setting is voluntary — individual websites are not required to respect it."
And seriously...Facebook is the most evil thing on the web. It's the Voldemort of the internet. They won't voluntarily stop tracking my browsing just because I have Firefox send some little note to them. (A little note that they probably never read anyway.) That's why the designer of "No FB Tracking" designed the add-on.
sorry i don't have much info about the specific add-on.
However if you are concerned about ads, you can use this: Adblock Plus 1.3.9
Also check this list:
Check and tell if its working.
