i would like to be able to link ONLY firefox in my windows start menu (without the extension to the task to be seen).

Looks like a folder button, so try to drag the link to the Firefox program from that folder to the main task menu and remove the Firefox folder via the right-click context menu. I'm on Linux, so can't check how to do this.
