The page as shown in firefox is not the latest version of that page as shown in IE.

The website is www.carltonbridgecentre.org.uk I asked the adminstrator to update some information on a page. This he did but the update does not show up in firefox. I have refresshed and restarted firefox and this did not resolve the situation. I contacted the administrator who advised that IE is showing the updates and indeed IE the revised information is shown.

Try clearing your browser cache.

Tools > Clear Recent History... - hit Details and make sure only Cache is selected, then select Everything and hit the Clear Now button.
