Downloaded application (exe) files are deleted when I close firefox, is there a fix?
When I download application files (from anywhere) the files download fine, and they pass the virus scan, but when I close firefox the downloaded file is deleted, without any warning. The only work around I have found for this is to relocate the downloaded files before I close firefox, but I occasionally forget to do so. I'm not sure if this is a known bug or anything, but I am experiencing this bug and I would like to know if I can fix it somehow.

Hmmm, as though Firefox is treating your regular download location like a temp folder...
What is your setting for where to save downloaded files?
Tools > Options > General tab
I find "Always ask me where to save files" to give the best results.
