Hi

How can we help you with Firefox?

hi.. I use Firefox on my Mac as a default browser. But everytime I use CleanMyMac X app to Optimise / Privacy function (in that app), this delete my Firefox passwords as well with all other temp files. I thought my passwords are secure within my firefox account. But this does not happen with Chrome I do use on the same computer.

Please advise me how can I stop any third party app to delete/ access my passwords in Firefox browser? Thanks. ma

We do not recommend using other programs to clean Firefox because they could corrupt the files. Also, the browser can clean itself.

na, I dont clean Firefox or so. But CleanMyMac software clean Mac and while doing so this cleaned the all firefox files as well. So I thought if there is any Firefox setting that can prevent any third party software to access Passwords and bookmarks saved in firefox account. There should be inbuilt safety setting to protect the passwords /bookmarks of being wiped of. Thanks anyway.

What you need to do is to open the settings of CleanMyMac. If you need help on this, contact their support.
