My old Firefox browser just disappeared!
When I opened Firefox as I always do just a few minutes ago, the browser had effectively disappeared. I was forced to "create a new account". Everything I had -bookmarks, history, home page, preferences...everything is gone. What can I do to restore it. I have been using Firefox as my default browser with no problems for many years until today. What happened and how can I fix it??

It sounds like the profile is missing. Not the program.
Sometimes when the browser thinks there is a problem with the profile, it will create a new one.
Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox? Look inside. Look for the folder with the latest creation date.

Type about:profiles<enter> in the address bar.
How many profiles are listed?
How many should be there?
Also, open the profile folder in your file explorer.
