Just installed the containers extension, but when selecting the containers icon, selecting a container type will not open a new tab. Also, in the current tab section at the top of the menu, I cannot check or uncheck the "Always open in Default" selection. Any ideas of whats causing this problem? Thanks.

1. To open a new tab in a container, you have to long-press the New Tab button. 2. Confirming on windows, something's wrong with the checkbox. It was working few weeks ago.

Note that you can set the long-press behavior via a pref on the about:config page.

  • privacy.userContext.longPressBehavior
0 disables long press; 1 when clicked, the menu is shown; 2 the menu is shown after X milliseconds

This feature won't work in a Private Browsing mode window.
