Hi rico696, did you try Firefox's built-in zoom feature? You can use keyboard shortcuts, or the buttons on the menu, or the mouse scroll wheel:

• Keyboard -- hold down Ctrl
  • tap + to enlarge
  • tap - to reduce
  • tap 0 to reset to 100%

• Mouse -- hold down Ctrl
  • scroll forward (away from you) to enlarge
  • scroll backward (toward you) to reduce

• Menu (you can add similar controls to the main toolbar using Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars)

the nosquint solution greys out sites I want to affect with colors for visited and non visited. Zooming is not a problem for me. Thanks anyway.

I don't understand what is grayed out. You originally said
