Firefox won't play videos posted in tweets that Safari will play, what is the problem with Firefox (thinking of deleting it)?

When I try to play hockey highlight that was posted in a hockey forum from twitter it says "The media can't be played" yet I can play it with Safari. (The message should also explain why the media can't be played). I have a brand new Macbook Pro.
