Cannot even open Firefox, even in safe mode. And even after refreshing Firefox.

First, please have a look at the steps in the Firefox keeps crashing at startup article.

If the steps described there don’t help, I would suggest to try upgrading your graphics driver to the latest beta driver listed here.
