Firefox crashes on start - even after reinstallation

On March 23 my copy of Firefox crashed. Since then it crashes every time it opens. I have read many suggestions for uninstalling, reinstalling, safe-mode, scanning for malware and other methods. None have changed the behavior. Even after multiple restarts, uninstalls, etc, every start goes immediately to the crash reporter. No pause or delay. I can start in safe mode (shift key), which does show in the crash report - but the crash reporter pops up just as fast.

All other browsers work properly - only Firefox fails to start.

hi mniessen, thanks for providing a crash id. this looks like it may be caused by external software on the computer. please go into your system's control panel and remove any software labelled "Freecorder" or similar or by the publisher "Applian Technologies" or any other toolbars.

Firefox operation has been restored. After removing all "Applian Technologies" programs and rebooting the computer Firefox advanced to importing bookmarks and then starting. Fortunately I had saved my bookmarks during attempts to fully "clean" my Firefox installation. It looks like it was a program conflict. I don't understand the timing - as I don't recall making application changes on that day. Many thanks for the suggestion.
