what does signed and featured mean , which is mentioned in many add-ons.
In many free youtube downloader it is mentioned at the side, signed in some and featured in some, what does it mean ?

Mozilla verifies add-ons that follow a set of security guidelines. You can read more about the benefits of the signing process here.
Featured add-ons are those which Mozilla are showcasing on the Add-on's homepage.
"Signed" usually only appears for add-ons that were initially signed en masse at the Addons.Mozilla.Org website last summer when the signing program was initiated. After that initial "signing" en masse procedure, all add-ons that were updated under the new verification process, don't say "signed". So there's no way to identify a "signed" add-on from one that isn't signed any longer at Addons.Mozilla.Org; although the vast majority were signed.
