Hi Hombart, If you have location settings not shared by default for this site it could be detecting a new location based on your ip address.
Permissions Manager - Give certain websites the ability to store passwords, set cookies and more
Forecastfox Weather {web link} Get international weather forecasts from AccuWeather.com and display them in any toolbar or statusbar with this highly customizable and unobtrusive extension.
Not compatible with Firefox 35.0.
Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
- Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
How is your location reported?
Try this link;

Edit: This is what you want https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/forecastfox-fix-version/

I have had this same problem since Firefox updated the other day. Prior to the update, my home page Weather panel showed my local weather (Santa Clarita, California) and major international cities. My Weather panel now shows Richardson Texas, but I live in Santa Clarita California, and despite changing it a number of times and doing the locate my address thing, it always reverts to Richardson Texas every time I open my browser now. This is a First World Problem I know, but it is still irritating. Any ideas on how to fix it?
I just tried the suggestion above and went to "https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/forecastfox-fix-version/" and added it as far as I know, but don't see the accuweather/forecastfox add on anywhere on my home page. This is getting silly. Where is it supposed to be located?
Cheers

"Forecastfox Weather {web link} Get international weather forecasts from AccuWeather.com and display them in any toolbar or statusbar with this highly customizable and unobtrusive extension." (FredMcD)
I went to that web page but don't see any way to get it on my home page to replace the local weather panel that used to be there and worked fine for years. Please advise.
Thanks.
Forecastfox Weather sits on the add-on bar at the bottom of the browser. You will need to get an add-on to restore the add-on bar. When you move your mouse on the weather icons, it displays more information. It even shows a radar image, as well as a 5 day forecast.
I found it! Thanks Fred!

Hombart, does this work around also work for you in version 36?
No, I still want to know why yahoo weather doesn't work with Firefox. Someone made changes that made me lose the weather I have been using since I started with firefox.
Who has the cure??
