I had 8 years of firefox desktop browsing now its gone, and I only see recent ios stuff--where's MY firefox? What happened to saved passwords and bookmks? HELP

My home desktop computer got a virus, and I had to get it wiped clean. They were able to save all my data, though, supposedly. However, my Firefox acct seems to be started from scratch again. 8 years of bookmarks and important passwords gone. I thought the info was saved at FF even if switching computers, etc? Well, I went to my Mom's, remembering that her IMac had my bookmarks, etc... info on it, but it's not there either. I saw something in some FF help file, on her Imac regarding a file supposedly stored on my PC, though, that might have backup date for FF. I have old FF files saved on the PC still. I just don't know what to do to get there or even if I understood that right. Can I find my old FF stuff? I need it.

FF doesn't store anything outside your computer. most of your data is in your profil-library Its in this directory c: \ user \ "your user name" \ appdata \ Roaming \ Mozilla \ Firefox \ Profiles \ "some numbers and stuff".default\ (It ends with .default) You have to have see hidden files and directories turned on to see it. So if they saved this directories you can rebuild it
