I backed up a firefox profile and then deleted all data. I need to restore this profile to my new install after phone restore. How can I do this please?

Long story short - had to reformat my laptop and lost all my bookmarks and preferences. Could not get Sync to restore from the phone's bookmarks. Backed up phone's firefox profile (Android ICS) to an external SD card. Formatted both phone and computer. New CLEAN firefox install on phone but I havent figured out how to restore the profile backup from external SD back to the phone's Firefox before moving to Sync with desktop. Feeling very dumb and hoping for some help....thanks!
