I may be missing something, but how can I remove threading completely from Thunderbird or how can I download an older version. I"ve searched for 102.15, but cannot find a way to download it. I really prefer NOT to use another email client. I've always used Thunderbird, but I cannot tolerate this threading thing and I can't seem to disable it.

I have the latest TB 115.4.1 - OSX I select multiple messages in my inbox and hit delete key, only one message is deleted. not the others Same with the contextual menu > Delete selected message

Only ONE message is moved to trash

Scheduled send is a prominent feature of nearly every online email client. I don't understand why Thunderbird, the most fully featured desktop email client doesn't offer scheduled send and has to rely on a third party add on to offer this feature? Thanks for your help!

Unified folders no longer displays inbox email list in the email inbox window. for 10 email accounts It does display them checking in the individual email accounts by clicking each individual account.

re downloaded the insulation file 91.7.0 64 bit and re installed - no difference

Hi Thunderbird,

in my office I am forced to use Outlook and so I am used to the keyboard shortcuts defined in Outlook. One of the often used keyboard shortcuts is CTRL+SHIFT+M to start the writing of a new mail.

In Thunderbird this shortcut seems to be hard-coded to 'Move/Copy message to previous target folder Again' which is basically not a bad function, if someone is used to it. But as a user who loves keyboard shortcuts I am sometimes struggling with this feature as Thunderbird reminds the last folder even over a restart of Thunderbird! So it can be that I haven't used Thunderbird for a week and then want to write a mail and press automatically CTRL+SHIFT+M and then a mail is moved to a folder I cannot remember. This behavior is very annoying!

1. Is there any way to change the keyboard shortcut? 2. If this keyboard shortcut cannot be changed or removed it should only work if a user already has moved a file in the current session of Thunderbird. The memory function over different Thunderbird sessions of this keyboard shortcut is not helpful at all. 3. Is there a way to show the previous target folder in Thunderbird? This would at least reduce the search for unwanted moving of mails.

My text defaults to 'paragraph' giving me double spacing when I type several lines of type. When I switch over to 'body text' it doesn't stick. It reverts back automatically to 'paragraph'. I have opened preferences and turned off 'paragraph', but again it just reverts back to 'paragraph'

Am trying to add Dropbox filelink to Thunderbird. I get the code from Dropbox and copy it but when I try to paste it to Thunderbird where it says code, nothing happens. I right click but no box appears offering a paste option. Have also tried Web DAV but when I click to save the addresses offered again nothing happens. Any ideas ? Am using W10 and thunderbird version updated Dec 2021

Hi, I have a few email accounts set up in Thunderbird (rel 91.7.0 32bit, Win10 21H1). On the work email (the first account) I receive complete notifications when receveing new email (sound and popup with sender/subject). On the personal one, I can only hear the sound and see the new mail red icon in the traybar but I can't see any preview. As far as I can tell, the notifications setting are not account-specific, and I would expect all accounts to behave the same in that respect. Does anybody have idea/suggestions to activate the popup alert also for the other account? Many thanks in advance Luca

Hi, I noticed that my Junk folder has no junk messages coming into it. I know there are junk messages present because I can see them in the Junk folder when I am in Windows 10 Mail - hotmail viewer. For example there are currently 44 junk messages - including 4 today., that I can see in Mail. None of these appear in the Thunderbird Junk folder, they do not appear in the Thunderbird inbox folder either. They used to appear in the Thunderbird junk folder up until a few days, or weeks ago. I am on Thunderbird 91.9.0 with windows 10 home 19044.1682 on a PC. The Thunderbird junk mail folder is empty, What I have tried is the repair folder option, - did nothing , renaming junk.msf to junk.oldmsf then restart and let a new junk.msf be created - no effect. I have also gone to inbox selected a message marked it as junk, then ran junk mail controls - the message gets moved over correctly to the junk folder, but nothing else gets added when I run Get Messages, only non-junk messages found that go to the Inbox folder. Does anyone have any ideas ?

I have several email addresses (for work, uni and private stuff) and want to keep those separate. But when I click a mail-to link I frequently forget to change the default address to the one I actually want to use. I'm kinda doxing myself. Is there a "normal" way of forcing me to select a specific address such as not having a default account or do I have to create a dummy account with an invalid address / no login credentials to use as default? Making the behavior consistent with the write button (i.e. using the address of the currently selected folder) would already help. Thanks

Hello! How can one define or set a theme in which the default background color and individual email styles are toggled to a more reable, less cluttered look?

Many other email clients allow for themes in which the background color and foreground color of text can be set.

Wouldnt it be nice to have a button, that toggles between: - Default theme with individual email following their own styles - Custom set easy to read Thunderbird message View window background color, Messages index background color, Text foreground color.

Is this something that can be set in the configuration or that can be hacked into Thunderbird? I dont like the dark theme, its too dark and gives me eyestrain I dont like the white theme, its too white and gives me eyestrain

I am having troubles with my signature formatting from particular recipients. I have attached pictures of what is is supposed to look like and when the spacing gets shrunk down to nothing.

This is an HTML signature, so that might have something to do with it but I don't know.

I want to make sure my signature looks the same every time but I don't want a plain text or image signature because I don't want the extra attachment with every email.

How can I get a mulit-formatted signature to look the same every time?

I've been using Thunderbird for years and had very few problems. I view and keep all my incoming and sent emails in date order, and move them to the relevant folders when they are dealt with. This morning my incoming emails also have other incoming emails, and my original sent email attached to them. I think this is called threading? but I have never set this up or asked for it, and don't even know how to do it. I'm finding this 'threading' is really annoying - I want all my emails separate and not joined or linked together. How do I disable this setting and stop all my emails joining together like this? I've looked at the help pages and the answers are too technical. I've tried the ones I can understand but they don't work. Can someone please send me a step by step solution to this? thank you Ray

My Gmail has thousands of messages on the server. I only want to keep the previous year (2021) and not import the rest of the messages.

How to I delete the entire batch before 2021 in Thunderbird and not affect the Gmail?

I am using the Imap setup.

I'm using the latest version of TB but...I can't seem to find the Other Stationary menu. Is there a way to get it back? It's kinda funny as I have been using TB on and off for years and never had a problem with this.

I never could get Virtual Identity or Correct Identity to consistently work predictably, so after many months twiddling them, I removed them. Then I needed to test what I had to do to live without them. There's a problem.

(The email addresses and accounts are fakes, but you'll get the idea.)

When I send this message to myself at a different account:

Reply-To: replyto@gmail.com

me.to gets the message fine. When I compose a reply, I expect this:

To: replyto@gmail.com
Reply-To: to@gmail.com

But I get this:

To: replyto@gmail.com
Reply-To: to+arf@gmail.com

to+arf@gmail.com was a virtual identity. So it appears that something is screwed. But what is screwed and how would I fix it?
