My bookmarks have become hypersensitive. When I attempt to scroll across the folders I have organized they open without being clicked. Before this occurred I entered bookmarks, scrolled across the list of folders, clicked and then double clicked to ge the address I had bookmarked. That is no longer possible. The "Alpha" folder opens automatically and I cannot get to the others. Thanks for your assistance.

That can be caused by having some bookmarks with a long title in the main Bookmarks menu.
The width of a column in the Bookmarks menu list is in current Firefox versions automatically adjusted to fit the bookmark with the longest name.
You can check the names of the bookmarks and make the longer ones shorter.

"Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks" has been renamed to "Show All Bookmarks" in Firefox 4 and later.
