Have been trying to get this add-on back, assume it has been hidden rather than deleted, but nothing is working! Do I just suffer these dratted ads for a while, and something will eventually heal itself?

There was a problem with the 7.0 release where a few addons were disabled. We pulled the automatic releases until the fix to 7.0.1 can go out today or tomorrow.

According to the author, it is compatible with FF7. Have you tried downloading it again?

If that doesn't work, the 7.0.1 update *should* fix it. Sorry you got stuck. We know that addon incompatibility is a big problem and are working on making addons just simply work with new versions.

Yes, I also noted that it was listed as compatible, and yes, I tried downloading it several times, along with the recovery tool and even the compatibility reporter, and all gave me the message that they failed due to a connection failure on addons.mozilla.org. So, after posting this, I went to the developer's page and found that he had done an update to 1.3.10 instead of the 1.3.9 on your site. I asked to update and got a message blocking it unless I gave permission to override the block which I chose to do. And now all seems to be well. Hope that it stays well when you do the 7.0.1 update!

The 7.0.1 update exists solely to fix this issue. If that borks the 1.3.10 addon, post here again and we'll do our best to get it sorted.

Again, sorry it was such a long process to get it fixed! The addon team's blog is a great source of info. http://blog.mozilla.com/addons/
