Are there any conflicts using Firefox with BitDefender installed as my primary security device?

I have BitDefender Internet Security 2010 installed on my laptop because I travel with it. I also have McAfee available through my DSL provider (ATT/sbcglobal.net). I have been told that you don’t want two systems installed for virus, firewall, etc, protection because they conflict with each other. I have not reactivated McAfee (this is a new laptop I bought while traveling this summer) because I have the BitDefender program installed. Do I want to consider installing Firefox/ Mozilla or would I be adding a conflicting security system to my laptop? If you consider Firefox to be superior to BitDefender, please explain why! Thank you for your feedback.

Firefox is a web browser, like Internet Explorer and Opera. It isn't a security application like Bit Defender or McAfee. Installing Firefox won't affect Bit Defender.
