After having a virus, my PC can't open Firefox from the icon anymore. Help!

I can still open firefox from a hyperlink I have in a word document. But this isn't a long-term solution. Uninstalling and reinstalling firefox didn't solve the problem either. When I click on the firefox icon I get "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator."

Every time Firefox opened

You may have the fake anti virus software "Antivir solution pro" Nasty malware. Google that if it hasn't comandeered your browsers. (Changes them to use proxy server), Here's one helpful link: http://example.com|http://deletemalware.blogspot.com/2010/07/how-to-remove-antivir-solution-pro.html

May need to start up in Safe Mode with Networking. Good Luck
