Thunderbird 78 on Windows 10 not receiving incoming emails from Xfinity last three days; also outgoing mail is sent but not saved to Sent Folder.

Has anyone else had this problem recently? What have you done to fix this, or do you think the problem is with Xfinity?

If you are using ESET/NOD32 security/AV then probability is very high it is causing your problems. According to ESET forums, you should temporarily disable SSL on ESET until they solve the problem per https://support.eset.com/en/kb3126-disable-ssl-filtering-in-eset-windows-products?ref=esf - the problem is being reported by dozens of users https://forum.eset.com/topic/26517-problems-with-thunderbird-and-imaps/ https://forum.eset.com/discover/

Yes. Same problem up in Canada. All Gmail and G Suite email accounts are not ever connecting and downloading messages in Thunderbird 78. Outgoing is working fine - messages reach the recipients, and can be viewed in webmail, but not downloaded back into Thunderbird.

What is your email provider? Seems to be a Thunderbird problem...

Edit: People are reporting more issues if they have ESET... have you tried adding Thunderbird as an exception in the ESET email scanner?
