Password Breached (not Google Pwd) Extortion Emails Received
I just received the following extortion email (I use aol)
'"I know leaddog49 is one of your password on day of hack.. Lets get directly to the point.
Not one person has paid me to check about you.
You do not know me and you're probably thinking why you are getting this email?
in fact, i actually placed a malware on the adult vids (adult porn) website and you know what, you visited this site to experience fun (you know what i mean).
When you were viewing videos, your browser started out operating as a RDP having a key logger which provided me with accessibility to your display and web cam.
immediately after that, my malware obtained every one of your contacts from your Messenger, FB, as well as email account.
after that i created a double-screen video. 1st part shows the video you were viewing (you have a nice taste omg), and 2nd part displays the recording of your cam, and its you.
Best solution would be to pay me $1094. We are going to refer to it as a donation. in this situation, i most certainly will without delay remove your video

if you are planning on going to the law, surely, this e-mail can not be traced back to me, because it's hacked too.

I used the pword shown in the past but not on any of my current sites. The one site that has something similar (but the same) is an HTTPS site and I checked using SSL Trust and it shows the website has no vulnerabilities. I also checked on https://haveibeenpwned.com/ I've been pawnd 4 times but never that site and the latest was back in 2017. I run 2 antivirus programs (webroot and Windows Defender and neither detected or has reported any malware.
I assume I should ignore this extortion email, and I changed the pwd on the site with the similar one. Is there anything I need to do beside that?

IMO, that is a fake and to ignore it. I have gotten similar email's that were far more threatening and demanding far more money. For me the threat included the video of me on "my webcam" crap; I use a desktop PC and never owned a web cam for it.
Last webcam I had was in a laptop that 'disappeared' 12 years ago; and no laptop since. If you do have a laptop, just keep a piece of tape or a "sticky" over it, in the future.
You should contact the FBI or other agents.
Change all passwords anywhere you think might be compromised. Also check your profile to make sure nothing was changed. Especially your e-mail.
You may have ad/mal-ware.

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
Appreciate the quick response. Did some searching on the web and found several sites that tell you what to do and lo and behold the example of an extortion email on one of them was exactly (almost word for word) the same as what I got. It said to ignore and delete it. I also did a malware scan on the computer just to make sure nothing got past my antivirus security programs.
