I erred in clicking "ok, I got it" instead of "disable" when trying to watch a video; now I have no volume control!
as stated above, in attempting to watch a YouTube video sent in e-mail from a friend, I misunderstood the message I got from Firefox and clicked "ok, I got it" instead of "disable" and Firefox complete removed the sound from my computer so that now my volume control little icon has completely disappeared! how can I restore sound to my computer? I did not want this outcome!!

Try Clearing Cookies and Sites Data on your browser:-
- Click the menu button. and select Options. Preferences.
- Select the Privacy & Security panel and go to the Cookies and Site Data section.
- Click the Clear Data… button. The Clear Data dialog will appear. ...
- Click Clear.
