I recently had to replace my phone. With the new installation of Firefox, I no longer have the option of choosing the destination directory of downloaded files. Previously, I had set it up to ask every time. Now I can't remember or figure out now to do that.

I have found many sites with instructions for how to set a new default directory and download to that default every time, but that isn't what I want. I want to choose every time.

Hi

Unfortunately, that is not currently possible in Firefox for Android, but you may be able to use a file manager app on your device to move any downloaded files.

When I try to save a mp4/video file, an error message "unknown resource - blob failed" shows up in the about:downloads file

Surely things like this are uninventing the wheel. Space on mobile is often limited and writing to an sd-card folder is therefore desirable. Yet, the option is removed/ignored (- it is still present in about:config but doesn't change anything) when moving the browser over to android.
