I cannot send email from my Thunderbird setup email address. It is saying that the server is timed out.

I had a friend setup an email address for me going though Thunderbird and using their personal server. After working hard to set it up, I cannot even send an email using this email address, it says "Sending of the message failed". Please see attached for a snip of the message I receive.

Please I need help. I have tried the 4 Fix steps listed on google for this type of error and nothing helps. I have been on this for over a total of 36hrs. Please I really need help
