cannot enter passwords
Using Ubunto 18.04 and Firefox, passwords can not be entered on some web pages. This seemed to start after an update last week. My setting are as listed on the previous suggestions on various forums. Clearing the cache and cookies has no impact.

Hi there.
Firefox will remember passwords by default. You may have disabled this feature or told Firefox never to remember passwords for a particular website.
Hi there.
I have read your problem yes. can you try to start Firefox in a safe mode? Then we want to hear if this has been rectified?
Greetings.
Hi there Help wanted.
With some graphical processors and graphic driver installations, Firefox may crash or have trouble showing text or objects on pages when using hardware acceleration. You can try disabling hardware acceleration to see if this fixes the problem.
All my settings are the same as they were before the recent update. Prior to that I had no problems. Whatever was changed is not compatible with government and other high security websites.
Did you try to use the Tab key in case focus isn't set correctly to the input field?
If necessary then you can right-click in the input filed and check what is selected in the Inspector.
The Firefox version from the Ubuntu repositories can sometimes behave differently than the Firefox version from the Mozilla server.
Try the Firefox version from the official Mozilla server if you currently use a version from the repositories of your Linux distribution to see if that works better.
