I have a calendar appointment which has been deleted from Google Calendar but will not delete in the Lightning Calendar

The appointment is in the past, so I keep getting a reminder of the meeting. When I click "Dismiss All" I get a message saying that the item has been changed on the server. If I then click on either of the two options, I get the reminder again. The result is a circular action of reminder, server change, etc.

Make sure your Google calendar set up in Lightning is not write-protected. Right-click the calendar in the left pane - Properties.

Thanks for the tip. The Read Only box is not checked. I had also deleted the calendar and set it up again. Initially that didn't work, but now the appointment has disappeared. Perhaps it just needed time???? The bottom line is that the problem is resolved - thanks again for the help.
