I compacted my inbox, and I can't see 9 months worth of emails. I am freaking out, as they are predominately work emails and I do not know what to you. How can I retrieve them?

I do know now that I need to start separating emails into folders after receiving them, but what I am also unsure of, is if they are separated into folders, will that only be on my local computer, or can other users that use the same email in other locations be able to view it too?

Thanks

right click select properties and then the repair button.

That will repair indexing issies.

If your mail is truly gone there is no going back from a compact. However rarely very rarely is mail lost in a compact process. More likely is your mail was deleted by your anti virus program long ago, when it asked you what to do about av virus it found, and you mail index has finally been updated by the compact process.
