although set in win 7, firefox as default browser it refuses
Lately I set my pc to receive windows updates. After that 1. I cannot set Firefox to be my default browser (I tried any method your forums suggest)
2. Always when I start Firefox it is also pinned in the taskbar.
I also tried to update the Firefox from 35.01 to 36 but always stopped installation, when restart Firefox, saying that firefox is busy. I download the new version of Firefox (36.0) and installed on the old one. The problem still exists. The new version of Firefox is in English. My windows are set in Greek (I don't know if that plays any role). I am using win 7 Pro. 6.1.7601 Service pack 1 build 7601. I try to give you any other info if you want. Please help me to solve the problem. Thank you in advance Nick

Hi Nick,
Have you try going to Control Panel>Default Programs>Set Your Default Programs>Then Choose your default browser to Firefox.
If the problem persist, feel free to post again.
To: Adriel Thank you for your answer. I tried repeatedly. Regards Nick

Hi,
The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.
If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected at http://input.mozilla.org/, where a team of people read it and gather data about the most common issues.
I'm still looking a solution for your problem. I'll keep you posted on your concern.
Thank you Nick.
