how do I stop FireFox from popping up taskbar and menubars at the top and bottom of screen suggesting "related" sites
After opening sites a menu pops up at the top of the screen and a menu pops up at the bottom, suggesting or advertising related topics.
I must opt to close the goddamn things if I was the use of my full screen.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.
