Every time I download the latest version of Firfox it wont install & says 'File is corrupted'. Why is this happening? Using Windows XP, Srvc pack 3 - Thanks.

When the download of the latest version of Mozilla Firefox is starting to instal I receive message 'File is corrupted' - every time! Tried loading manually (several times) - tried turning off AVG Firewall but nothing works. Please help. thanks - Helen

Disable, except firewall, and your antivirus and then try again to download from : http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html

Open the Windows Temp folder: in XP: Start -> Run -> Type %temp% -> OK. Select all files and folders in the Temp folder and delete them, then close the Temp folder window.

Make sure Firefox is not running and that no instance of "firefox.exe" appears in the Windows Task Manager.

Now try to install the fresh copy from the link above.

Do not forget to enable anti-virus software after you are finished with installation.
