If speed, ease of use and fluidity holds any importance at all in a browser Firefox, on Windows 10, is a failure on my machine.

Once upon a time...... Firefox was the only browser I would even think about using. Which is still my choice with searching in Android.

For some time Firefox has been all but unusable on my ASUS Windows 10 machine. Everything is a test in patience. None of this happens on Edge or the Google Chrome browsers.

As an example I am posting this from Chrome due to the ridiculous delays on every aspect. Opening new tabs, switching between tabs, scrolling, clicking a button, typing into the fields and more. It's mostly for waiting for everything. The longer Firefox is used the more erratic it becomes.

I've tried refreshing, restarting, remove and reinstalling, turning off hardware/software acceleration, removed the few add on's I use, switched from Webroot to Norton and even tried without any kind of security software running at all.

I have a Windows 10 ASUS tablet that does well enough to not cause an issue with Firefox use. But? It's a tablet!

The only possibilities I can come to are Windows 10, Firefox or/and Asus.

hi, thanks for reporting this. could you go to the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information page and take a look in the Accessibility section if accessibility is set to "true" there.

if yes, can you please copy & paste this whole section into a reply in the forum and see if the following fixes the performance problem: go to the firefox menu ≡ > options > privacy & security panel and under permissions check the setting to prevent accessibility services from accessing your browser.

I'm not sure what is meant by "this section". Just the "accessibility section"? Or the whole page of information?

yes, the accessibility section would be enough. thnx
