These are some common troubleshooting steps. I'm not sure whether they will help, but please give them a try as a starting point:

Clearing Firefox's Cache

Sometimes previously stored files will interfere with loading a site. Please see the steps in this article: How to clear the Firefox cache.

If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes. If you do not see the number going down on the page, you can reload it using Command+r to check progress.

Then try eBay again. Any difference?

Testing in a Private Window

A private window will not have any of the cookies you might have saved from previous visits to eBay. You can launch a new private window using either the menu or Command+Shift+P. Alternately, you can right-click/Ctrl+click a link to eBay and choose Open Link in New Private Window.

Any difference?

Firefox's Safe Mode

In its Safe Mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates extensions, hardware acceleration, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.

If Firefox is not running: Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
  • Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

and OK the restart.

Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).

Any improvement?
