When I visit websites for which I have usernames and passwords saved in firefox, which firefox used to autofill and which other browsers still autofill, FF no longer fills them. I am not using Private Browsing and signon.autofillForms is set to true.

That version was updated in September 2014, and you might need the newer version now. To get the update, you can have Firefox check for extension updates as follows:

Open the Add-ons page using either:

   Ctrl+Shift+a
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, above the list, look for the button with the "gear" or "cog" icon, click that, and "Check for Updates."

Or if you only want to update this one extension, I think installing from the Add-ons site will overwrite the old version with the new one (not 100% sure about that).

Hope this help
