Add websites to the awesome bar
Hi,
When using the dropdown for the awesome bar (the downwards arrow on the right hand side of the bar) it shows my 12 most popular websites, and I prefer to use this as a quick method of browsing sites and forums I look at on a daily basis.
I would like to add a new site to the top 12, but it seems there is no way of doing it. I've tried going into the places.sqlite database and altering the frecency for the site in question in the moz_hosts and moz_places tables but that just resets itself when I reopen firefox and navigate to the page.
Please could you tell be a way of adjusting the frecency permanently for a site so that I can get it into my top 12 list? I'm fine with a solution which involves db or config file modification.

I remember reading somewhere that a simple trick of opening a site a few times would boost the frecency, which sounds logical and may be a simple solution.
The probable solution is to open places.sqlite in a sqlite editor such as SQLite Manger which gives edditing accesto the 13 tables & I imagine give you the ability to hack the frecency rating (I have not tried it myself, and have not got time to experiment this morning)
An alternative and possible workaround more likely to appeal to some users is to use the newtab. Click on the cross or key about:newtab into the location bar. That opens the newtab with 9 thumbnails on it, and may be customised.
