I am running 55.0.3 (64 bit) Up to Date Firefox My 2009 mac running Sierra 10.12.4 is getting hot.

Activity Monitor shows the following:

(no Icon) firefox CPU 62% CPU Time 31:07:10 (notice that firefox is all small letters icon Activity Monitor CPU 2.6% 45:37 time icon Firefox 2.1% 25:22 etc. see attached .jpg screen shot of Activity Monitor CPU screen.

When I quit Firefox the fake firefox does NOT disappear from the activity monitor!!!

Is there a way to detect/delete the fake firefox running on my machine?
