Firefox 49.0.2 browser missing an option setting on another PC with 49.0.2 (same OS both PCs)
I have the same version Firefox browser (49.0.2) on 2 PCs. Both PCs have the same OS (XP Professional-SP3) All Firefox options are set THE SAME on BOTH computers --- EXCEPT - one computers 'Firefox Options' is MISSING an option on the 'General' section under 'Tabs': 'When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately'
(this would be the 3rd setting under 'Tabs')
This option (and its checkbox) is on one PC but NOT on another!!!
What's up with that?

That one should not be missing. There are two hidden checkboxes that appear only if the preference has been customized, but "switch to it immediately" (which can appear in second, third, or fourth position depending...) should not be hidden. (I'm attaching a screenshot of how that page is set up under the covers using the "Inspector" tool showing the hidden checkboxes if you're curious.)
If you can't switch that setting on and off using the Options/Preferences page, is it possible you have a tab-related add-on that is modifying or overriding the page somehow?
