There is an email in my inbox from "r+++++++@gmail.com" which when I click on it hangs thunderbird and tbirds memory usage begins to climb (task manager) and I shut down thunderbird after memory gets to 400,000K. Can you right click the message and select delete?

as soon as you highlite the message thunderbird freezes. Trying to right click on it first highlights it. Cannot perform any operations on the message because cannot select it without the prg,. freezing.

How about a left click on the Message with a quick finger on the Delete key of the keyboard.

thanks but any action in which thunderbird "looks at " the message results in freezing. If I could find the message on the hard drive , maybe I could delete it.

ok. So I created a filter to delete anything from rbaase14@gmail.com and ran it. It removed the email. I am not sure if it is in the trash because when I click on that folder, AND THEN EITHER CLICK ON ANY TRASHED EMAIL OR EVEN THE SCROLL BAR TO LOOK FOR IT, the same memory issue starts again. Short of deleting all the trash I don't know what to do.

I emptied the trash (and lost things I might have wanted to get to) but it seemed to remove the offending email. Thanks for the help !!
