Upgrading to V4 and printing web pages or gmail to to pdf only shows a grey backgound

After upgrading to v4.0 when I try to print to pdf inside gmail, the document always comes out with a grayed background and white outside the margin borders. Printing web page sites is OK, but in gmail the main text area (inside margins) always prints in gray.
