I want to programatically access the open tabs #document object by the Browser Console. I am in chrome://browser/content/browser.xhtml I fallow the docs in browser console: https://firefox-source-docs.mozilla.org/devtools-user/browser_console/index.html

Following the code: var newTabBrowser = gBrowser.getBrowserForTab(gBrowser.selectedTab); newTabBrowser.addEventListener("load", function() {

newTabBrowser.contentDocument.body.innerHTML = "

this page has been eaten

";

}, true); newTabBrowser.contentDocument.location.href = "https://mozilla.org/";

.contentDocument is null except if current tab is a page such as page about:config

Is there a way to allow chrome:// tab to access read only of the tabs #documents property using the console?

I understand that accessing it with javascript from the browser console would be a security issue. I want to bypass it to read, analize and compare dynamic data from the open tabs.

Se hai inserito l’indirizzo corretto, puoi: • Riprovare più tardi • Verificare la connessione alla rete • Controllare che Firefox abbia il permesso di accedere a Internet (la connessione potrebbe essere protetta da un firewall)

I get the error message The outgoing mail server (SMTP) smtp.myserver.com does not seem to support encrypted passwords. If you have just set up the account, try changing the 'Authentication method' in 'Account settings | Outgoing mail server (SMTP)' to 'Normal password'.

I have several accounts, all have the setting 'normal password'. The solution is installed on several mobile devices. Via mobile phone (Iphone) my outbox works perfectly. I get the error message on my tablet and PC. I have not changed any settings or anything else. What would be the solution?

Disabling GPU process fixes stuttering on external display on dual-GPU Optimus laptop

My configuration is the following: Windows 11, internal display connected to iGPU and external UHD display to nvidia-HDMI port, multiple firefox windows are opened (1 one the internal screen, 2 on the external).

Then in Windows->Settings->GPU I can select firefox to run on either iGPU (powersaving) or on Nvidia GPU (max perf), the problem is the following: Whenever I set firefox running on iGPU, there would be a massive stuttering/framedrop on an external display (connected to NVIDIA), while a perfectly smooth browsing on internal display, and vice versa.

My first attempt was to disable webrenderer compositor or switching it to a software rendering, which fixes the heavy stuttering, but the scrolling becomes overall less fluid/responsive.

However, setting "layers.gpu-process.enabled" to "false" seemingly solves this problem completely. Now I have a perfectly smooth scrolling on both displays, regardless of which GPU is used in Windows->Settings->GPU (nvidia's is arguably a little but more responsive).

Hope this helps someone, or maybe dev team could look deeper into this.

Thank you for the great browser!

I don't even move my mouse or do anything, and video is pausing randomly without any of my input. It doesn't have any frequency, it just happens. You can see it on video below. I watched nearly 5 minutes of a random video, and it paused 4 times without any reason. As you can see, everything I do is just moving my mouse a little and that's it. No more input from me. The video does it by itself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lf0IVpXfAdA&ab_channel=Kami In the video, it freezed at: 1:45, 2:45, 4:02, 5:10

Configuration details are below. The Firefox desktop for Windows address bar does not function [it was fine previously]. If search keys or an internet address are entered into it, carriage return results in no action. The address bar is fully functional in Troubleshooting Mode. Shortcuts on the New Tab page or the desktop DO function.

about:config>keyw>keyword.enabled DOES have a value of TRUE

AVAST virus checker reveals no malware.

I've no idea how to resolve this. Solution[s] welcome and appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

About once per week, I'll be using Firefox and it will stop working. I'll close it and open it again and it gives me an error message "The application "Firefox" can't be opened."

If I download Firefox and reinstall it, everything will work fine for another week and then it will do it again. I'm not doing the same thing when it breaks. It does it on both my Mac Mini (macOS 14.5) and my Mac laptop (macOS 12.7.5).

It just started happening in May on both. Nothing has changed on both that I can think of.

Pinned tabs disappear from main browser window AFTER using "New private window" browser to test a different site issue. This has happened a few times for me. It is very cumbersome and should not be necessary to do a problem search and see all the steps needed to follow using the sessionstore.jsonlz4 process. Why can't Firefox have simple "restore PINNED tabs" history? I am going to plan on saving each link for each pinned tab in a document of my own simply because it is EXTREMELY annoying and TIME CONSUMING to try to get each of them back. Why does the "New Private Window" use cause this issue in the main browser window?

Since last update, when I am in email and select an image to download to my computer, it pops up in my browser. I have to right click to "Save As" to get it to my downloads folder, then click the back button of the browser to get back into email. Very frustrating. I have gone into firefox settings and set everything that I had an option to download to computer. It has not solved the problem. I have noticed in the application box in firefox settings, there is not an option of IMG, JPG, or PNG. Really need some help. thanks!

Recently my Firefox does not load previous tabs when I closed Firefox down at night. I tried not closing my browser and that worked a couple of days. (always shut down my computer at night and restart it in the morning.) But that even does not work now. Everytime I restart my computer and open Firefox it starts with only a blank tab. I have read all the associated questions on here and tried everything posted, but to no avail. Do I need to go to a different browser to not lose my tabs? Please give me some help because this is irritating to start Firefox and not have my previous session tabs open. AND there is NO "restore previous session" available. Going through the history to try to find the tabs I'm looking for is a pain and NOT a viable solution. Thank you for your help in advance.

I have Yahoo.com as my email provider (Firefox is my internet provider). When I get emails I don't want, I move them to the Junk Email option BUT, it only deletes that specific email and does NOT keep it from being sent again (and they ARE, repeatedly). I contacted Yahoo and and all they do is send me to a website that will answer the question but sign me up for a monthly $46 to $55 fee. Any way known that I can solve my problem?

This may be more of a Firefox sync problem, I'm not sure, but either way it is irritating. Every time I open Firefox it has me signed out of all my google accounts no matter how many times I select stay signed in or keep me signed in. I don't have the setting for deleting cookies on and I don't believe anything on my computer is clearing cookies without me knowing, and I personally do not clear cookies often if ever. If anybody knows what could be causing this any advice/help would be extremely useful and greatly appreciated, thank you.
