How do you eliminate error 403 Access denied / Forbidden when trying to enter a web site?

I use Mozilla Firefox as my browser and I have been getting the following error message every time I try to use the Yahoo main page enter bar (Not the Y! search bar) to enter a website that I want to access. The error message 403 FORBIDDEN comes up. I especially get this when I want to open my bank's website so I can do on line banking with one feature being "deposit a check from home" This error keeps me from getting to the bank web site especially when I NEED to Deposit a Pay Check to pay my bills. How do you get rid of this error. This started about 2 to3 months ago. I got by by using another persons computer to deposit my checks electronically. '
