I had downloaded Mozilla Firefox 2 days back, overriding the existing version 3.6.13. But I find the new version rather unusable. I am very familiar with the FF 3.6 version, which I have been using over 2 years. Hence I would like to revert back to the earlier version 3.6.13. Mozilla Help informed that I should first uninstall version 4.x and then reinstall the earlier version. But I am unable to find the version 4.x, either through the Control Panel or through the program Revo Unistaller'. How can I proceed to restore back the earlier version 3.6?

In Firefox 4, you can get the old menu bar, tabs below and the bookmarks bar back, if that's your problem with 4.

  • Right-click next to the tabs and click "Menu bar" to disable the Firefox button
  • Right-click again and click "Add-on bar" to enable the Add-on bar

You can also replace the start, reload, and stop button and add the indicator by clikking on the last option in the reight-click menu.

EDIT: For the next time, maybe it's a good iedea to install Firefox from the website with the normal installer...

@jef001 : Thanks for your helpful answer. However, now after a few trials and errors in using FF 4.0.1, I have got the hang of using the same fairly well and I shall continue with the same . @Editor: Thanks for your comments . I think that my wording in the question has caused some ambiguity. Actually, I updated using the Mozilla FF Help menu only. I was trying to uninstall the new version using the Revo Uninstaller, as I did not find the FF 4.0.1 in the Windows Uninstall List, and not installing it through Revo Uninstaller. However, my above reply to jef001, should clear up the issue of my continuing with FF 4.0.1 . - - arasan77
