How to shrink the tool bar? It takes up 25% of my notebook screen.

more options

the notebook screen is 8.75 x 6" high. The header tool bar is 1 1/8 inches high, and the footer is 5/8" So 30% of the screen is nearly useless. The top line "ask a question firefox help is repeated at the bottom of the header. The second line File...Help access with an icon the third line navigation is fine I don't need the most visited-getting started line the last line should be incorporated into the first line

When you only have 6" to work with, every little bit counts!

1. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/compact-menu-2/ = to get rid of the Menu bar
2. View > Toolbars - Bookmarks Toolbar = un-check it

You're down to 1 Toolbar. If you don't need the Statusbar (at the bottom), you can un-check that in the View menu item.
