Are you able to access other sites? Are you able to access this site using some other browser (like Internet Explorer)? I was also not able to access the same site (http://www.ako.us.mil). Maybe its a problem with the site?

Hit the Firefox tab and then go to options. Hit options again then go to the advanced tab and check the TLS1.0 protocol and then hit ok. That should allow to access the AKO webpage.
