I am unable to type quotation marks or use back spacer.

First, I do not have this problem if I use Internet Explorer, which I don't like. I am unable to type some kinds of special mark - Apostrophe, slash - or to back space, forward space, or hit end. An odd thing crops up at bottom of page whoing what I'm trying to type down there.

This happened

Every time Firefox opened
