Why is the background color of my file download button White?

The background color of the button that pops up in Firefox to approve downloading a file turned White making the text in the button impossible to see. I've looked in Preferences and cannot find anything that controls the color of this button. I've also looked in the preferences for my computer. This is happening on my Macbook Air M1 with Big Sur. Anyone know how to control this color?
