When reopening FF, defaults to previous single malicious tab which is COMPLETELY preventing me from deleting it - how can I get rid of same without having to open an entirely NEW session??

[Both antimalware operations run - Malwarebytes premium trial, and RogueKiller (in Safe Mode) came back as there being no detections / clean, BTW; does that mean any infection hasn't migrated to my PC from FF?]

Tried accessing 'places' file on my desktop as seemingly directed; cannot open with another browser (Opera) nor otherwise - to further clarify, malicious tab in question will not allow me to: close it - by either clicking on its 'x', or right-clicking to use 'Close Tab' option in pulldown menu, nor use the previous page arrow, or return to home / the Google search engine screen, ANY other tab which is part of that session.....is there any way to change the default function so it DOESN'T automatically land every time on THAT precise tab upon reopening, and I can then go to History / previous sites visited to delete? Again, there are a LOT of webpages the links of which I haven't had a chance to copy & paste into an email for myself, and I'm hoping that completely eliminating them all, can be avoided......thanks

If it's like the fake FBI/Interpol browser lock page, A way out of a trap page is to (force it if needed) Close Firefox. Wait about 20 seconds for Firefox to finish closing. Right-click on the Firefox icon and select Open New Window. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Sometimes this works. If it opens, close it by Menu > File > Exit. This will flush out that web page from the Session Store.
