YT says the browser does not recognize any videoformats
Sry the message is German but I will translate it hopefully similar to the English output. I try to open this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mCcjRePrSj4 Mind you other seem to work fine and I get this issue:
"Dein Browser erkennt zurzeit keines der verfügbaren Videoformate. Klicke hier, um unsere häufig gestellten Fragen zu HTML5-Videos aufzurufen."
Basically says "Your Browser does not recognize any available videoformat Click here, for FAQ around HTML5-Videos"
links to https://www.youtube.com/supported_browsers which literally shows Firefox as supported. I run Firefox on Ubuntu20.04 here and I have no clue what the issue could be. Chromium works. It works on Windows. I tried the safe mode without success. I just want to fix this before I run into this more frequently.
I am utterly clueless. I just today installed Firefox again on my Ubuntu machine. All issues I could find so far seem to be at least 2 years or older...
Chosen solution
Make sure you have the latest FFmpeg and libavcodec packages installed in Linux.

Okay I have to add I actually tried that ironically. I just needed to restart the PC.
Okay so anyone coming across this. Probably working on any Debian Distro it would be: "sudo apt install ffmpeg" If you have snap you may use: "sudo snap install ffmpeg"
And then restart.
