Firefox upgraded to 78.0.1 but my extensions are now inaccessible/invisible. They show as enabled in the about:add-ons tab but no longer appear at the top of the main window - so I casn no longer access them.

Chosen solution

Some extensions may not be working if you run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Always use Private Browsing mode; Never Remember History).

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
    Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history" : "Always use Private Browsing mode"

Try adding the buttons back using Firefox's toolbar customization screen. See Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars for more information.

Hope this helps.
