Firefox keeps deleting my history (upon exit) after i turned off the delete on exit multiple times

i have noticed lately, about a month ago that every time i exit firefox it would delete my hitory and change my setting, i keep changing them back but when i exit they are changed again. i even got firefox on my phone to sync to try and help but not even that helps.
